Requirements definition
Structured capture of coverage, capacity, latency, security, and integration requirements to form the basis for technology selection and system design.
CellQual provides end-to-end engineering and integration services for private wireless network infrastructure — from requirements definition and technology selection through to deployment, testing, and lifecycle support. We scope requirements carefully, select technology from established vendors, and manage the engineering and testing that ensure the network performs as specified before operational handover.
A private wireless network is a dedicated communications infrastructure owned and operated by or for a specific organization, separate from shared public mobile networks. Private networks provide the coverage, capacity, security, and quality-of-service control that shared public networks cannot deliver in demanding enterprise and industrial environments.
CellQual supports private network infrastructure projects from initial requirements through deployment and beyond. We provide vendor-independent assessment and engineering, working with technology from established providers rather than promoting any single manufacturer's products. Our role is to help the customer get the infrastructure right — sized correctly for the traffic requirement, configured for the right level of security, tested to confirm performance, and supported through its operational life.
Private network infrastructure projects vary considerably in scale: from a single building or campus private WiFi or LTE network to a wide-area private network covering a large industrial site, port, airport, or utility distribution network. CellQual adapts its approach to the scale and complexity of each project.

Vendor-independent evaluation and recommendation of private network technology — LTE, 5G, WiFi, or combinations — appropriate to the requirement.
End-to-end network architecture design including radio access, transport, core network, security, and management systems.
Coordination of equipment supply from established vendors appropriate to the selected technology.
Engineering management of integration and commissioning activities including testing, configuration, and handover.
Systematic testing of coverage, capacity, throughput, and latency after commissioning to confirm the network meets requirements.
Development of maintenance plans, support arrangements, and lifecycle management frameworks for the deployed network.
An enterprise needs a private network it controls across its site.
An industrial operator needs dedicated connectivity for operations.
A government site needs controlled, private infrastructure.

Private networks are relevant to any organization that needs reliable, secure wireless connectivity at a specific location that is not adequately served by public mobile networks. This includes large industrial and manufacturing sites, ports and logistics hubs, airports, hospitals, university campuses, military installations, utility infrastructure, and large commercial campuses. The common factor is a need for controlled, reliable, high-capacity wireless connectivity with defined security boundaries.
Timescales vary considerably depending on the scale and complexity of the network, the procurement timeline, site access constraints, and regulatory requirements including spectrum licensing. Simple single-site deployments may be completed in weeks. Complex multi-site or wide-area networks may take months from requirements definition to operational acceptance. CellQual provides realistic timeline estimates based on the specific project scope.
Private networks require ongoing maintenance to remain effective. This includes hardware maintenance, software and firmware updates, radio network optimization as traffic patterns evolve, security updates, and fault investigation and resolution. CellQual can provide structured ongoing support for deployed private networks, with support scope and response commitments defined based on the customer's operational requirements.
Enterprise WiFi uses shared unlicensed spectrum (typically 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands) that is also used by consumer devices, neighbouring buildings, and interference sources outside the operator's control. A private LTE or 5G network uses licensed or coordinated spectrum dedicated to the operator, providing predictable interference-free performance, prioritised access, and the security segmentation that enterprise WiFi cannot guarantee. Private networks also support mobile devices at vehicle speeds and over much larger areas than enterprise WiFi.
Spectrum availability for private wireless networks varies by national regulatory framework. Common approaches include local licensing of specific bands for private use, shared spectrum frameworks where available, and operator-partnered arrangements where a national mobile operator makes spectrum available for private network deployment. CellQual assesses the spectrum options applicable to specific countries and assists customers in understanding the regulatory pathway.
A private network typically requires integration with the organization's wider IT and OT (operational technology) environment: enterprise authentication systems, IP routing to corporate and cloud networks, security monitoring, and application servers. CellQual plans this integration as part of the network design phase and coordinates with the customer's IT team to ensure the integration is implemented correctly.
