Private LTE/5G network design
Requirements capture, coverage modeling, spectrum assessment, architecture design, and equipment specification.
CellQual supports the design, integration and deployment of private LTE and 5G networks for forward operating bases, secured field sites, government facilities, and critical infrastructure requiring dedicated, resilient, and locally-controlled broadband connectivity. We provide the engineering, integration, and deployment management that allows private networks to be built correctly the first time — on schedule and to a tested specification.
The demand for high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity in operational field environments has grown significantly as sensors, surveillance systems, command applications, and networked equipment have proliferated. Traditional radio systems provide voice and limited data. A private LTE or 5G network provides the broadband foundation that these data-intensive applications require.
Private LTE and 5G networks operate on dedicated spectrum — either licensed or lightly licensed — which means they are not shared with public networks and do not depend on commercial coverage. This gives operational commanders control over capacity allocation, priority management, and network availability. The network can be sized, secured, and optimized for the specific operational requirement rather than the general public.
CellQual provides engineering and integration services for forward-deployed and secured-site private network deployment. We do not manufacture network equipment. We help customers define requirements, evaluate technology options, source equipment from established providers, manage integration, oversee deployment, and test performance before handover. We also provide ongoing optimization and support.
Requirements capture, coverage modeling, spectrum assessment, architecture design, and equipment specification.
Supply coordination and integration of radio units, core network components, and management systems from established vendors.
On-site engineering support for equipment installation, network configuration, and system commissioning.
Drive testing, coverage mapping, throughput measurement, and latency testing to confirm network performance before operational handover.
Network segmentation, access control, encryption, and security configuration aligned with the operational security classification.
Connection of network-dependent applications including surveillance systems, command platforms, IoT sensors, and data management systems.
Post-deployment monitoring, performance optimization, and technical support coordination.
A field unit needs a private network in an area with no coverage.
An emergency response team needs connectivity in a disaster zone where infrastructure is down.
A temporary operation or event needs a private network set up quickly and removed afterwards.
A remote site needs reliable connectivity without building permanent infrastructure.

Public mobile networks serve the general population and are not designed or resourced for a specific operational priority. A private network gives the operator full control over coverage, capacity, security, and availability. In a forward-deployed environment, public coverage may not exist. In a secured facility, commercial networks may not meet security requirements. A private network addresses both problems.
Private 5G networks can operate on a range of spectrum depending on the national regulatory environment. Common options include locally licensed spectrum, shared spectrum frameworks, lightly licensed bands, and in some cases unlicensed bands for limited applications. CellQual can advise on the spectrum options available for your specific country and use case.
Deployment speed depends on the site, equipment, and installation requirements. Pre-configured, containerised or man-portable private LTE systems can be operational in hours in field conditions. A permanent installation with structured cabling and integrated infrastructure may take days or weeks. CellQual will advise on options consistent with your operational timeline.
A standalone private 5G network operates independently of commercial public mobile networks. It has its own radio access equipment, its own 5G core network, and uses spectrum allocated or licensed for private use. Unlike non-standalone networks that rely on a public LTE core, a standalone private 5G network gives the operator full control over coverage, capacity, and security without dependency on commercial network availability.
Private 5G networks support strong security features including network slicing for traffic isolation, encrypted air interface, authentication of devices before network access, and separation of management plane from user plane. Security configuration is a design decision and must be implemented correctly to provide the intended protection. CellQual's deployment engagements include security configuration as a core element.
